Pearl of the Bükk
Lillafüred is one of the most beautiful climatic resorts in Hungary, and is found 10 kms East of Miskolc. The city is surrounded by three mountains and lies in a picturesque valley in the eastern part of the Bükk mountains. One of the most popular tourist destinations is the luxurious Hunguest Hotel Palota which was built in a neo-renaissance style in 1930. The castle is surrounded by a hanging garden and a beautiful spacious park. The view to the Szinva Stream and the Hámori Lake is made even more magnificent by the murmur of the waterfall in the direct neighbourhood of the hotel.
Comfort, luxury, patina
Having had a complete renovation of the hotel in 1998, it now offers 92 double-rooms, 19 single-rooms and 18 suites. All rooms have bathroom, cable TV, telephone, minibar and bathrobe. The unique suite-like round rooms with a panoramic view in the small tower are especially attractive for romantic guests. Non-smoking rooms and wireless Internet (wi-fi) connection are available on request.
Gastronomy 
There are three restaurants and two bars in the hotel. Restaurant Matthias, decorated with lead glass, offers specialities of renaissance, Upper Hungary and Transylvania with period music.. Restaurant Hunyadi caters for guests with a wide range of drinks and dishes from the Hungarian and international cuisine, where in the evenings salon music entertains the visitors. Restaurant Nagy Lajos has an intimate character and seats 15-20 people. During summer weekends an outdoor grill on the terrace is offered and makes a very special evening to remember.
Business Facilities
We also have fantastic conference facilities. The large airconditioned conference room holds 250 deligates and can be divided into smaller areas if needed. There are also 3 rooms below and 4 seminar rooms above the main floor. The rooms and the hall are suitable for exhibitions and seating can be arranged as required.

Swimming pool, aerobic and fitness room, sunbeds, lava stone massage, Decleor aroma therapy massage, Finnish and infra sauna, deeping- and stepping basins, steam cabin, jacuzzi, hydro massage, hairdressing, beauty treatments, bowling, darts, biliard, archery and cycling are available. Nearby there are hiking tracks in the forest, thermal medicinal cave baths to relax in and boating and skiing for the more adventurous.

Gift-shop, car rental, mediation, wine-cellar, indoor and outdoor childrens play areas including a wooden playground, museum, guarded secure parking and safe service. The reception can also help arrange cinema and theatre tickets, book your taxi and even arrange flowers. Of course all major credit cards are accepted.
